Gentle Contemporary
Wednesdays 10:30a -12p
This is an all-levels contemporary class focused on gentle, therapeutic movement. We will spend quite a bit of time exploring floorwork sequences, rise into standing with rhythmic coordination challenges, and connect to the ground and each other through partnering exercises informed by contact improvisation. This class is designed to be accessible to a wide range of students. Experienced dancers will have the opportunity to slow down and refine awareness of their unique body mechanics, while beginners will build somatic intelligence and coordination. Moving with ease and joy is emphasized as we practice together in a supportive class environment.
