Pay It No Mind, A Queer -Trans- Gender Non-conforming artist showcase

The Pay It No Mind Artist Showcase, named in honor of Marsha “Pay it No Mind“ Johnson, was created to celebrate Trans and Gender-Nonconforming Artists and to cultivate an environment where we can express ourselves freely and provide a platform to share our gifts.

By creating this space, we aim to build a community of forward thinking artists, promote inclusivity, raise awareness and foster understanding of transgender and gender non-conforming identities through artistic expression.

Sade Keinu is a multidisciplinary artist from Brooklyn, NY. At the age of two, Sade began their training at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and STEPS on Broadway. At just six years old, Sade started their career in entertainment, touring and performing professionally around the world. In 2009, Sade continued their training in Los Angeles at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy while also receiving their big break by starring in two TeeNick movies. Since then, Sade has worked with artists and brands such as P!NK, Mariah Carey, Pharrell, Rosalia, Gucci, and Calvin Klein. Sade has also performed on stages like the Grammys, VMAS, and the 2022 Super Bowl. Sade's artistic expression encompasses dance, movement art, acting, directing, and filmmaking. Through their knowledge of the entertainment industry, passion for the arts, and community engagement, Sade aims to use storytelling as a vehicle to ensure that all black, queer, and trans individuals see themselves reflected. Questioning societal norms and promoting communal care are significant themes in Sade's work
